  5. Receive a one-off transfer of £100/euro100 from a bank account across the border.
Bank of Ireland
  • Incoming payment for £100 via swift costs euro5 (based on the Bank of Ireland Inward Electronic Payment charge of euro5.00 for amounts greater than euro65. The retail foreign exchange margin applies and where relevant the standard current account transaction fee applies to the transfer credit transaction).
  • Incoming euro100 payment received (within EU) for a Republic of Ireland account with an IBAN and BIC there is no additional handling charge.

Based on the Inward Electronic Payments charge where no charge applies for amounts up to euro50k, for amounts over euro50k a charge of euro10 applies.

Incoming payment of euro100 for a Republic of Ireland account without an IBAN and BIC costs:

  • euro5 (based on our Inward Electronic Payments charge of euro5 for amounts over euro65 and up to euro130)
  • euro7.50 for amounts over euro130 and up to euro6.5k, and
  • euro10 for amounts over euro6.5k and up to euro50k, and euro10 for amounts over euro50k.

In the above cases where relevant the standard current account transaction fee applies to the transfer credit transaction. Intermediary/Foreign Bank charges may apply.

  • From other Republic of Ireland banks to Northern Bank costs £7
  • From other Northern Ireland banks to National Irish Bank costs euro6
Permanent TSB There are no additional charges applied to receipt of payments into a permanent tsb account. Currency conversion is based on market rate on the day it is received
Barclays

South to North (Barclays has no personal banking presence in the South

No fee charged by Barclays (assumes sent in Euros and valid beneficiary IBAN and SWIFTBIC are quoted)

(currency conversion based on market rate on the day it is received in UK for processing)

£6 to receive a payment in Sterling (payments with a value less than £100 are not charged this fee)
