The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) has responsibilities in relation to education, training courses for the land-based and food industries and development programmes in Northern Ireland.

DARD external website offers a range of Further and Higher Education courses at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE).external website

CAFRE welcomes students with a wide range of entry qualifications and backgrounds onto courses in agriculture, environmental conservation, equine, farriery, floristry, food, food supply management, horticulture, land-based engineering and technology, rural and countryside management and veterinary nursing.

CAFRE has campuses in Enniskillen, Greenmount and Loughry.
